Hot Tub Policy
When you book one of our hot tub chalets, your private hot tub is for your personal, adult enjoyment. To ensure everyone’s safety and comfort, please note the following guidelines:
- Adult Use Only:
- The hot tub is intended for adults and supervised youth over 12 years of age.
- Children under 12 are not permitted in the hot tub.
- Health & Hygiene:
- Please shower with soap and water before using the hot tub to remove lotions, cosmetics, and oils, as these can affect water quality.
- Failure to shower may result in the hot tub being drained and unavailable for the remainder of your stay.
- Daily Maintenance:
- We check the water quality and chemical levels daily between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. We’ll be as unobtrusive as possible, but feel free to let us know if you need anything during this time.
- Hot Tub Use Guidelines:
- Do not use the hot tub cover as a surface for food, candles, or seating.
- Keep the hot tub cover on when not in use to maintain heat and prevent debris.
- Avoid adjusting the temperature. The ideal temperature is 98–104°F (37–40°C). If the temperature is lowered, it may take hours (or up to two days) to return to normal.
- Charges for Water Quality Issues:
- A $100 non-refundable fee will be charged if improper use (e.g., turning off the hot tub or poor hygiene) requires a water change.
- Cold Weather Tips:
- On cold evenings, fold the hot tub cover halfway instead of removing it entirely to help maintain water temperature.
- Weather & Power Outages:
- Outdoor temperatures and power outages can affect hot tub performance.
- If hot tub use is essential to your stay, check the weather report and feel free to cancel your reservation up to 5 days before check-in.
- If a significant power outage prevents hot tub use during your stay, we will refund the hot tub portion of your invoice ($50.00/night) after verification.
- Alcohol & Glassware:
- Avoid alcohol consumption while using the hot tub for your safety.
- Please use the provided plastic glassware for all beverages—no glass containers near the hot tub.
For detailed instructions and additional information, refer to the guest binder in your chalet. If you'd like a staff member to check the water quality before your check-out, just let us know—we're happy to assist.
